'Give it up' by KC and the Sunshine band. A favourite of many a wedding DJ and a classic dance floor hit but would it work as a marryoke? With a 45 second instrumental intro and a chorus that repeats itself throughout the song I was more than a little dubious that it could be done so when Vicky informed me that she was too nervous to do her version of the song I must admit that I did start to panic. It was only the outstanding performance from the bridesmaids that made me feel a little calmer as I headed off to Leeford Place Hotel, a beautiful family-run Hotel in East Sussex, situated deep within the historic 1066 Countryside.
Slowly but surely throughout the day, all the pieces stared to come together and the lines of the song were crossed off with guest after guest getting involved. By the end of the day Vicky finally mustered up the courage to get in front of the camera and really went for it with not one but two amazing performances, one with Martin and one with the girls.
The final result is superb, filling the instrumental section at the front of the song with a montage of shots from the wedding was key to making the song work and beautifully sets up the rest of the marryoke.
Also included as part of their 'Ultimate Marryoke' are the couples Wedding highlights. A montage of carefully edited shots from the day, edited to the song Vicky walked down the aisle to, Cristina Perri's 'A Thousand Years'
